Michael Hannah M.S., L.P.C., L.C.D.C.
Michael Hannah is a psychotherapist who has been in private practice and treatment centers for over nineteen years. In his early years working in treatment centers, Michael worked with troubled teens/young adults and their families. His focus was on addictive behaviors along with emotional, psychological and behavioral issues that occur with the individual and family members. He was also a program and clinical director during those years. In private practice Michael works mostly with adults. However he continues to work with pre-teens and teens that have a willingness to address problem areas in their lives.
Michael believes in identifying where the individual is out of balance in four areas of functioning; physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. He uses a cognitive/behavioral approach to help his patient s identify faulty beliefs that cause responses to events in life to be negative and possibly harmful to these four areas. While the patient is working with Dr. Gonino and his staff, Michael will facilitate the patient to change beliefs that will affect positive changes in their emotional/behavioral responses to life’s events.
Michael graduated from A and M Commerce with a Masters degree in counseling. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependence Counselor (LCDC) in the state of Texas.
